We’ve all had a coworker at one time or another who doesn’t do what they’re supposed to do. These stories of coworkers who didn’t follow the rules will leave your jaw on the floor.
Organizing Boxes
One worker trained another team member to organize shoe boxes according to size and brand. Despite the training, the team member sorted the packages by color because they looked “prettier.”
Fried to the Hospital
One user stated, “[H]e just REACHED HIS HAND into the oil to retrieve [his wontons]. I don’t think I even reacted for a moment or two, and then rushed forward. He somehow ALSO didn’t react for a moment or two before pulling his hand out and yelling out a cartoon-style ‘YEEOUCH!’”
Misspelling Artist
One tattoo artist appeared to have talent with art but not so much with spelling. A user shared his story of when one tattoo artist tattooed “Laugh now, cray Ladder” onto someone’s chest. He was fired shortly after.
Brutally Honest
One coworker talked back to their manager, stating it wasn’t his problem how the food was prepared since he wasn’t eating it. We’d like to believe the coworker wasn’t aware of the job he’d applied to.
Too Busy to Work
While working with hazardous chemicals, one coworker was warned not to look at his phone. He couldn’t resist, which resulted in chemicals spilling and hours of cleanup.
Overshare
During a meeting and while sharing their screen, one coworker talked badly about another worker on the same call. They either weren’t aware they were screen sharing or didn’t care.
Don’t Drink This Water
As a coworker was ready to rinse his mop, he poured the dirty water from his bucket into a water fountain instead of the proper sink. We can only hope no one drank from the water fountain.
Third Time’s the Charm
One man recalled his coworker falling off a ladder while installing an AC unit. Oddly, this happened three consecutive times. After the second time, the man didn’t bother to check in on his coworker.
Haircut Please
Just imagine walking into a bar and seeing the bartender cutting their own hair. One user experienced this scenario one day at work.
Jamming to Music
Someone commented, “My coworker blasted the volume of his music not realizing the 3.5mm jack [wasn’t] connected to his phone. He thought he was hearing it from his earphones…”
