Apparently, couch surfing doesn’t get old. Here’s the story of a man who has a history of quitting jobs because they don’t fit his “fun” lifestyle. His parents have helped him in the past, but when they stopped offering help, he asked his brother.

Quitting Jobs for Unreasonable Reasons

While most people quit their jobs for valid reasons, Brandon leaves because his jobs keep him from attending parties or last-minute trips. Despite this, Brandon believes he is the best worker.

Irresponsible Attitude

He left his recent job, making $70,000 annually, because he felt entitled to more money than his supervisor.

Fortunately for Brandon, his parents have always helped him get back on his feet—until now. After Brandon quit his last job, his parents stopped supporting him financially.

Here’s where things headed south. Since Brandon’s parents would no longer support him financially, Brandon went to Jim for help.

Refusing Financial Assistance

Brandon asked Jim if he could stay at his place while he got back on his feet. He also asked Jim to pay for a few of his car loan payments.

Brandon’s solution for Jim to afford the extra payments was for Jim to work overtime. Easy, right?

After hearing Brandon’s demands, Jim declined to help.

“I flat out told him that I would not give him a dime.”

Heated Conflict

Brandon didn’t take Jim’s rejection lightly. They got into a heated argument, and Jim had to threaten to call the cops.

Entitled Behavior

“The thing with moochers is that they will never ever stop mooching whilst others condone and enable the mooching behavior.”

Bad Parenting?

“Your brother seems to think the world owes him a living. Your parents are partly to blame for that.”

Honest Backlash

“…if he was arrested it would be that much harder for him to get a job. Which in hindsight makes some sense but at the time he refused to budge from my couch.”

Due to the argument, Brandon’s family thinks Jim went too far, and Jim is left with mixed feelings about whether he made the right choice.
